Volunteering and Internships
Volunteering at Woodlawn Cemetery and Arboretum is a simple, wonderful and flexible opportunity to give back to the community. Whether you have just a few hours to spare one day or wish to make a regular commitment to one of our programs, we would be delighted to welcome you to the Woodlawn volunteer circle. Here are just a few ways you can get involved and help make Woodlawn the greatest community asset it can be.
Women’s History Ambassador
Nurture your passion for women’s history while helping to preserve the past for the enjoyment of future generations. The women of Woodlawn are fascinating in their own right – but this is also a unique opportunity to meet new people, share your knowledge and inspire young women to meet their own potential.
Docents inspire a love of local history and nature by guiding youth and adult educational tours of Woodlawn Cemetery.
Special Events Volunteer
Volunteers assist in a variety of capacities, from registering participants to directing guests, to handing out informational materials and simply greeting the public.
From history to art and nature, internship volunteer opportunities are available for students who wish to embark on extended research projects at Woodlawn.
If you would like more information on volunteering or internships with Woodlawn, please call 419-472-2186 or email Woodlawn Cemetery.
